KAStrack was founded on the belief that businesses of every size deserve systems they can trust to support compliance, efficiency, and day-to-day operations. The founder, Robert Claypool, grew up in New Orleans where he learned early lessons in discipline, service, and accountability while witnessing his father run a small business. Coupled with decades of his own entrepreneurial experiences, Robert has developed a unique understanding of both the technical and operational demands of building a successful company.

That understanding became personal when Robert made a significant financial investment in a software platform for one of his own businesses, only to find that it could not support the way his company actually worked. Instead of creating efficiency, the system forced the business to adapt to rigid software limitations. That experience helped shape one of the core principles behind KAStrack: software should support a company’s workflow, not the other way around. The experience continues to drive KAStrack’s commitment to offering options as a solution provider, so each client receives a solution that fits their real-world needs.

While auditing contractors for a global oil and gas company, Robert observed similar challenges in organizations of every size. Critical requirements were being tracked through spreadsheets, whiteboards, and disconnected processes, leaving even highly successful companies vulnerable to preventable compliance issues, expired certifications, and unnecessary administrative burden. When a family friend asked Robert for help after an employee was turned away from a job site because of an issue with an expired certificate, he received more than he asked for. Instead of building another spreadsheet, Robert proposed something better: a tracking system designed to provide visibility, accountability, and confidence. That conversation became the catalyst for the software framework and professional services KAStrack provides today.

Since the first release in 2013, KAStrack has grown into a flexible management platform supporting certifications, assets, documents, forms, reporting, competency assessments, training, and more. Today, we proudly serve both owner-led businesses and some of the world’s largest companies.
